Two daughters of an archdeacon have been stabbed to death following a birthday party in a park in London.
27-year-old Nicole Smallman and her half-sister Bibaa Henry, 46, were the daughters of Wilhelmina Smallman, the UK’s first female Church of England archdeacon from a minority ethnic background.
The pair met with a group of eight people in Fryent Country Park, Brent, on Friday evening to celebrate Ms Henry’s birthday. Police have said the two women stayed behind after the celebrations ended at around midnight.
Officers found their bodies at the same location on Sunday afternoon after being reported missing on Saturday.
The post- mortem revealed the cause of death for both sisters was multiple stab wounds.
As yet, not arrests have been made and an extensive crime scene still remains in the park.
Ms Henry, of Brent, was a children’s social worker at Buckinghamshire council and has been described as a “sweet soul”. Her younger sister, Smallman was a University of Westminster graduate said to be “a joy to be around”.
Detectives say they are “working tirelessly to find who is responsible” and an appeal for their killer has been launched.
