Ansbach pastor concerned over racial tensions following suicide bombing

Albert Amara from Agabe Word Embassy in Ansbach has been at the scene of a suicide bomb attack offering support and prayers to those affected.

On Monday, security officials claimed a video had been found on the bomber's phone showing him pledging allegiance to the leader of the Islamic State group.

It was announced earlier that the attacker had his asylum application rejected and was due for deportation.

The unnamed Syrian was the only person killed in the blast. More than a dozen people were wounded.

Speaking on Premier's News Hour, Pastor Amara said: "Ansbach is a relatively peaceful city and things like this we don't hear of.

"It was pretty surprising to a lot of people."

He also said he was worried about relations between different communities in the city.

"There is great concern," he said. "A lot of people are talking about 'why are they here?', 'their culture is not compatible to ours'."

He's calling for Christians to turn to evangelism to help combat terror.
