Andrew Lloyd Webber sought help of priest to deal with ghost

by Marcus Jones

Award winning composer Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber has revealed he called a priest to rid his home of a ghost.

The musician, best known for musicals such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Jesus Christ Superstar, was asked by the Telegraph whether any of the theatres he owns are haunted.

He said he'd never seen a ghost but did require assistance with a suggestion of paranormal activity.

“I did have a house in Eaton Square which had a poltergeist," he claimed. "It would do things like take theatre scripts and put them in a neat pile in some obscure room. In the end we had to get a priest to come and bless it, and it left.”

A poltergeist is defined as "a noisy usually mischievous ghost held to be responsible for unexplained noises".
