Katie Taylor, the three-time undisputed boxing world champion has walked out to the anthem "All Hail the Power of Jesus" in front of an 80,000-strong crowd in Dublin and millions around the world.
The devout Christian brought her illustrious career to an end last night with a dominant win against Flora Pili at Croke Park.
In an emotional final walk-out the Irish boxer was seen singing Jesus’ name with arms stretched wide and then touching her heart.
Throughout her career she has spoken publicly about her Christian faith, describing Jesus as “the greatest of all time”.
Last year she told RTE her faith “helps me with everything. It helps me make sense of the world. I view the world through the lens that God is real, that Jesus is a real historical figure who lived, breathed, died and rose again. I believe he’s the greatest of all time.”
Speaking in the ring straight after Saturday's super lightweight championship match, she told RTE her career had been "beyond my wildest dreams" but that "nothing is impossible to God".
She leaves the sport with a record 26 wins and just one defeat.
