'You are next': Canadian Pastor warns US Christians after he is arrested for breaking Covid rules

by Kelly Valencia

A Canadian pastor who went viral earlier this year for calling police officers "Nazis" when trying to close his church for breaking Covid rules, has issued a warning to Americans saying, "You are next".

Pastor Artur Pawlowski made the remarks as he was being arrested on the tarmac at Calgary airport after returning from an evangelistic tour in the United States. He had two outstanding warrants, one for breaking covid rules by opening his church during Canadian lockdown and a second one for not wearing a face mask.

"If they came for me, be sure of it, they're coming for you as well," Pastor Pawlowski, who has now been released, told Fox News. "What they're doing today is identical to what I remember growing up," he added comparing Covid restrictions to those imposed in Poland, his native country, during the communist rule.

"I was handcuffed like a common criminal, like a terrorist," he said, referring to his arrest in May, when he and his brother were stopped on a motorway. "They wanted to break me. They wanted to show the whole world, 'You see what we do to those who dare to speak against our tyranny? If you will follow … you're next.'"

His court hearing is scheduled for 13th October where it will be decided whether he will be jailed during 21 days for "contempt of court" for violating lockdown rules in his state.
