In a move to share the Christian faith with inauguration attendees, Faith & Liberty, a Florida-based Christian ministry, will lead a team of volunteers to distribute tens of thousands of Bible booklets at President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday.
Over 50 volunteers will hand out 50,000 booklets, which are being made available in partnership with Seedline International and HOPE to the Hill.
The Bible booklets, which commemorate Trump's 2025 inauguration, will feature the scriptural books of John and Romans. Volunteers plan to distribute the booklets at various entry points around Capitol Hill, as attendees prepare to brave the cold for Trump’s swearing-in ceremony as the 47th president of the United States. The distribution will continue until all 50,000 copies have been handed out.
“In times of national division like America has recently seen, a new presidential administration can offer hope,” Peggy Nienaber, Senior Vice President of Faith & Liberty said. “The commemorative scripture booklets were published for this significant occasion for that same reason — to offer hope to people in the Saviour Jesus Christ.”
On Friday, Trump announced a change in plans due to the harsh weather forecast for the day. To protect spectators from the dangerously cold temperatures, the inauguration will now take place indoors, with the Capitol One Arena opening its doors to those who still wish to watch the event live. A weather report accompanying Trump’s post on Truth Social indicated that wind chills in Washington, D.C., could dip to single digits on Monday, with temperatures dropping below zero in the evening.
Faith & Liberty expressed appreciation for its partners, Seedline International and HOPE to the Hill, whose collaboration makes this outreach effort possible. “This event is not only possible but an important outreach to point those in the capital on Inauguration Day to Christ,” the group said.
Faith & Liberty’s mission includes bringing the gospel of Jesus Christ to the nation’s top elected and appointed officials. The organisation builds personal relationships with government leaders, distributes Scripture, and stages events such as Bible studies, panel discussions, and prayer services.
Seedline International, a not-for-profit ministry, helps print, bind, and distribute Bibles to missionaries and churches around the world. HOPE to the Hill focuses on providing prayer opportunities and live ministry events for members of Congress and their staff, including Christian music concerts.
The three groups previously collaborated in 2017 to distribute 51,000 Bible booklets featuring the same books at Trump’s first inauguration.
