A vicar from Essex has appeared in court charged with three counts of possessing indecent images of children.
Peter Low, who is also accused of having a prohibited image of a child, attended a brief hearing Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
The 64 year old vicar from the United Benefice of Heybridge and Langford spoke only to confirm his name, age and address.
No pleas were given.
The charges relate to 27th July 2016.
Low, of Crescent Road in Heybridge, was bailed to appear at Chelmford Crown Court on 29th March for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
As part of his bail conditions, the defendant, who has been suspended from his duties by the Diocese of Chelmsford, must not have unsupervised contact with under-18s.
