Church membership in the US, as well as church attendance and belief in God, all dropped significantly during the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to an ABC News survey, the results showed in-person church attendance had declined by 45 per cent.
Furthermore, according to Gallup, as of 2021, 21 per cent of US citizens claimed to not welcome any religion at all.
Throughout the pandemic many Churches went online, holding services through platforms such as YouTube and Zoom.
The Gallup polls also showed younger people more likely to be less religious than older people.
The results showed 34 per cent of Gen Z identifying as "nones" compared with 25 percent from Gen X and 29 per cent of Gen Y.
Membership in the church stayed strong, between the 1940s and 1990s, showing roughly 70 percent of the US.
However this then dropped in the start of the new century.
