Tyson Fury embraces gay man who accused him of homophobia

The world heavyweight boxing champion was in a bar when Paul Cole, 41, challenged him on his beliefs.

Mr Fury has been criticised in the media for comments he made about homosexuality and his Christian faith.

It followed a November interview with the Mail On Sunday in which Fury said: "There are only three things that need to be accomplished before the devil comes home: one of them is homosexuality being legal in countries, one of them is abortion and the other one's paedophilia."

He has since refused to back down on the claim but told Jeremy Vine on BBC Radio 2 he did not equate homosexuality to paedophilia.

"I can't stand you," Mr Cole told the boxer at a bar in Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire.

Fury said he wasn't homophobic and kissed the man on both cheeks.

The man told The Sun: "I've changed my mind about him. He's a big friendly giant."
