US President Donald Trump earned $1.3 million in 2024 from endorsing the God Bless the USA Bible, according to financial disclosures released by the White House.
The patriotic-themed Bible, sold for up to $99.99, includes the King James Version alongside American founding documents and the lyrics of Lee Greenwood’s anthem.
In a promotional video, Trump said: “This Bible is a reminder that the biggest thing we have to bring back America and to make America great again is our religion.”
He added: “We must defend God in the public square and not allow the media or the left-wing groups to silence, censor, or discriminate against us.”
Critics, however, questioned the sincerity and pricing of the Bible. Baptist minister Tim Wildsmith, who reviews Bibles on YouTube, remarked: “This feels more like a money grab than anything else.”
Royalties are paid to CIC Ventures, a company Trump controls, as reported by Christianity Today.
While past presidents like Wilson and Roosevelt also endorsed Bibles, theirs were distributed to troops, not sold commercially.
