Susan Boyle: You have to ''wait for miracles"

In an exclusive interview with Pam Rhodes the Britain's Got Talent winner spoke of her belief in miracles and her strong Christian faith.

She said: "There was a time I didn't go to chapel because I was too busy but I missed it so much that I came back and I regained my roots from there."

The singer also told Premier how her faith helped her progress in the talent show.

"I've a very close relationship with God, he's almost like a second father and I felt like he was guiding me at the time," she said.

Susan Boyle found worldwide fame overnight after she appeared on Britain's Got Talent in 2009.

After hitting the headlines she was asked to perform for Pope Benedict XVI when he visited Glasgow a year later.

She performed before and after the Pontiff said mass at the city's Bellahouston Park.

Meeting the Holy Father was her highlight so far, she said.

"I was honoured enough to be asked to sing three songs. Make me a Channel of Your Peace... that was one that stuck out because it was a prayer to St Francis."
