Over 2,000 students in Ohio accept Jesus at campus event

by Lydia Davies

Over 2,000 Ohio State University students have committed to following Jesus during a campus revival at The Schott sports arena, with many being baptised in U-Haul trucks.

Unite US founder Tonya Prewett celebrated the spiritual movement on social media, noting the campus’s ongoing transformation and highlighting the 2,000 altar responses.

Pastor Matt Brown added that spontaneous baptisms occurred throughout the event, undeterred by the chilly weather, CBN News reported.

He posted to X: "At many of these campus events, spontaneous baptisms have broken out from those who’ve responded to the gospel.

"Last night the temps were cold but that didn’t stop students from getting baptized in the back of U-Haul trucks!"

Since its outreach began in September 2023, the ministry has engaged more than 70,000 students across various campuses.

This revival was the movement’s second large-scale event this year, following a similar gathering at the University of Kentucky last week, as reported by The Christian Post.

A previous revival in August 2024 saw OSU football team members leading about 60 baptisms.

The ministry is set to host another outreach event at Purdue University on 5th March 2025.
