Star bodybuilder reveals deep Christian faith

by Hannah Tooley

Sean Bryan, also known as the "Papal Ninja" is returning for another season of 'American Ninja Warrior'.

He will be speaking about his faith on the television show.

Mr Bryan, 31, will be seen climbing walls and jumping over water and obstacles whilst wearing a religious top.

He told the National Catholic Register that American TV channel Esquire Network has been keen to hear about his faith.

Sean Bryan said: "The producers really took a liking to my story, and they wanted to focus on the Catholic aspect.

"I totally went along with it because I thought it would be a great idea, because that's really who I am at heart."

He still lives with members of the priesthood at the Salesians of Don Bosco in California.

It has been reported that he "turned their garage into an 'American Ninja Warrior' training facility."

Bryan has named Francis de Sales, a Roman Catholic saint, his mentor and Bryan says he wants to be an inspiration to other Catholics.

"We're all called to be papal ninjas (and) to help accomplish the secular mission of the church as a layperson," he finished.
