Shawn Mendes has received a holy blessing at a concert in Madrid.
The Canadian pop star jumped into the audience, where one ordained fan was able to reach out and pray for him.
Mendes can be seen clutching the hand of Eliet Jerez, and mouthing “thank you" as the priest makes the sign of the cross on his forehead.
The ‘Senorita’ singer has previously described how the Christian music collective Maverick City changed his outlook on faith.
Speaking on Justin Baldoni’s Man Enough podcast, he said he grew up “more or less atheist" but has become “much more spiritual” through their worship.
"I watched Maverick City Choir singing about God, about Jesus. I'm sitting there watching this YouTube video about Jesus, and I just start crying, crying my eyes out," he said.
“You know when it’s like ‘something is leaving me’ – that type of cry? How does something I’ve not grown up believing in feel like home?”
Mendes also said he listens to spiritual mantras from the Buddhist and Hindu faiths.
