Noah's Ark discovery: Scientists uncover evidence that could support Biblical narrative

by Lydia Davies

A groundbreaking discovery in Turkey has sparked claims that the fossilised remains of Noah's Ark have been found.

Experts are studying a boat-shaped formation near Mount Ararat, exactly where the Bible says the Ark came to rest, and believe they may be on the brink of a historic breakthrough.

According to the Daily Star, the formation, known as the Durupinar Formation, stretches 164 meters and is made of limonite, an iron ore.

Located just 35 kilometers south of Mount Ararat, this structure has long been speculated to be the Ark's remains.

An international team of researchers is now conducting extensive analysis and is convinced they may be on the verge of confirming the existence of the biblical vessel.

Recent findings include soil samples revealing traces of clay, marine deposits, and even seafood remnants, which date back 3,500 to 5,000 years.

These findings suggest the area was once submerged in water, supporting the idea of a massive flood similar to the one described in the Bible.

The shape and dimensions of the formation closely match those of Noah's Ark as described in the Old Testament: 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high.

Experts believe this could be the site of the catastrophic event mentioned in religious texts, which allude to a global flood that wiped out civilizations.

Professor Faruk Kaya, a lead researcher, confirmed the findings, telling the outlet: "Our studies show that this region was once covered by water, suggesting an event of epic proportions."

While speculation about the Ark's existence has circulated since the 1940s, the discovery of marine evidence is the most compelling proof yet.

This suggests the area was once inhabited during the Chalcolithic period, further strengthening the theory of an ancient flood.
