Satanic temple offering 'ritual' abortions

by Lydia Davies

The Satanic Temple (TST) has launched its second telehealth abortion clinic, claiming to offer "religious abortion services" as part of its "destruction ritual."

This clinic, named Right to your life satanic abortion clinic, is located in Virginia USA and provides abortion-inducing drugs via telehealth consultations.

TST, which is not affiliated with the Church of Satan, views abortion as a religious right and incorporates it into its rituals.

Erin Helian, TST's executive director, told The Christian Post that the group offers support to women seeking abortions and ensures safety through online consultations.

She said: “We do not agree with the notion that telehealth care puts patients at risk. Instead, we argue that by expanding care and access, telehealth clinics, like ours, can save lives.”

However, many pro-life advocates have expressed concerns about the risks of telehealth abortions, especially without in-person consultations.

TST’s efforts follow the opening of its first abortion clinic in New Mexico after the Supreme Court’s 2022 decision overturning Roe v. Wade.

Critics argue that telehealth abortion services endanger women’s health, as complications can arise from the lack of in-person care and medical oversight.
