For the first time since 1986, all the scaffold from the public side of Salisbury Cathedral has been removed.
After almost 30 years of renovation works the planned programme of restoration has reached its final stage.
The medieval building is just two and a half years away from completion.
Very Revd June Osborne, Dean of Salisbury Cathedral said: "We are now into the last phase of what has been one of the longest repair programmes of any medieval cathedral and one that has been very challenging.
"The support we have, particularly from individual donors, has been a significant part of our success.
The completion of the public side of the building comes just in time for the celebrations of the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta which has one of its copies on display at the cathedral.
