Prominent Evangelical pastor and wife dead in plane crash

by Antony Bushfield

He was travelling on a light aircraft with his wife, Ruth, who was also killed, when it crashed on approach to Grand Bahama International Airport.

It happened late yesterday and also killed another seven people onboard. It's reported the aircraft hit a crane and exploded.

Dr Richard H Pinder, a Senior Vice President and Pastor of Bahamas Faith Ministries Fellowship Church, also died in the crash.

It's thought they were on their way to a Global Leadership Forum, which was organised by Dr Munroe.

Revd Yemi Adedeji from the Evangelical Alliance was a friend and has being paying tribute.

He said: "The man was an amazing man.

"Nobody will forget him as a man of purpose.

"Many will remember him for [being] a great leader and many will remember him for [being] a man full of life, full of energy and a man full of wisdom."

Dr Munroe leaves behind a son.

Bishop John Francis of Ruach City Church in London said his prayers are with him: "I just can't imagine that you lose your mum, your dad and your sister all at one time.

"We just need to keep him in prayer."
