Each month the Holy Father releases two new prayers, one called a universal prayer and the other called an evangelisation prayer. This month's universal prayer is: "That volunteers may give themselves generously to the service of the needy."
He has also released an evangelisation prayer: "That setting aside our very selves we may learn to be neighbours to those who find themselves on the margins of human life and society."
Last month the Pope prayed: "That political responsibility may be lived at all levels as a high form of charity," and that "amid social inequalities, Latin American Christians may bear witness to love for the poor and contribute to a more fraternal society."
