A church pastor from Philadelphia has handed 10 pounds of marijuana to police after receiving the package in the post.
Officers are now trying to determine who sent the drugs after the pastor claimed she had no knowledge of where it came from.
It's reported the drugs arrived in bundles stuffed into a plastic bucket inside a cardboard box.
It has been sent via United Parcel Service from Sacramento.
Police believe someone else might have been instructed to watch for the package but failed to pick it up.
In a statement, Police Chief Donald Molineux said the pastor is "very upset and traumatized" and is concerned someone might come to her looking for the drugs.
