Palestinian Christians return home

The conflict between Palestinian militant group Hamas and Israel lasted five weeks and left 2,104 Palestinians and 73 Israelis dead.

Many houses have been completely destroyed and the ones that haven't are badly damaged and without water or electricity.

UN schools are still housing many families which means classes have been unable to start as normal after the summer break.

Nashat Filmon from the Palestinian Bible society said: "First of all we praise God for the ceasefire, we are glad that this is happening.

"This war has been very brutal. I spoke with several people inside Gaza and they told me the people have gone through several wars but this has been the worst."

Israel blame Hamas for firing rockets into the country whilst there's been criticism of Israel's response with some saying it was disproportionate.

Filmon added: "There getting electricity for a few hours, only two to three hours every day.

"I know that it's going to take many, many years to go back to where Gaza was before the war."
