The Archbishop of Canterbury, who hosts the event around every 10 years, has invited participants across 40 Anglican Communion provinces and five Extra Provincial areas.
The aim of the 11 day event is to meet other Anglican leaders from around the world and discuss important matters for the wider communion and shape the Church's priorities for the next decade.
However, in recent years a rival conference has started called GAFCON for members of the Anglican communion who feel the Conference is departing from the Bible in some areas.
The Archbishop of Cape Town, Dr Thabo Makgoba, who is also on the planning team, urged clergy this week not to boycott the Lambeth conference but to "come round the table".
The team organising the Lambeth Conference announced this week that registrations included 566 bishops and 435 spouses.
Phil George, the CEO of the Lambeth Conference Company said: "At its heart, the hope for the Lambeth Conference 2020 is to have the full voice, diversity and experience of our global family represented.
"We are delighted that so many of our international guests have already confirmed their attendance at this historic event and we look forward to welcoming more registrations in the weeks and months ahead."
It will be held in Canterbury, with much at the University of Kent, from the 23rd July to 2nd August 2020.
