Lindsey Holley became its new leader after Stephen Cave moved to a different position within Biblica after four years of service as European executive director.
Biblica Europe currently publishes bibles in 100 different languages, in 55 different countries. It prints NIV (New International Version) bibles, which is one of the most widely read versions.
Mrs Holley told Premier she also wanted church leaders: "To not only engage with the Bible for themselves, but show their congregations how it's not enough just to listen to great sermons - that actually opening up and engaging deeply in the Word for themselves is so important.
She hoped her work would be "helping those who already have bibles to really value them and actually read and engage with them deeply and gain a love for God's Word.
The Biblica Europe executive director mentioned several examples where more translation and publishing work had to be done in Europe.
"In Scandinavia we have countries using next door's bible because it's better than the one that they have in their language, particularly Denmark and Norway sharing bibles."
