New 15-minute church service to accommodate ‘busy working lives’

by Tola Mbakwe

A Swansea church has come up with an innovative approach to cater to the bustling schedules of modern life.

St David's in Penllergaer is set to offer a brief respite with the introduction of a 15-minute weekday service, starting next month.

The aim is for “15 Minute Church on Mondays” to be a welcoming space for individuals to pause, pray, and reflect amidst their hectic routines.

Rev John Gillibrand said:  "We are so aware as a ministry area of people’s busy working lives and they need to maintain a good work-life balance. 15 Minute Church is here to help just do that.

“We are open to all, not just existing church members and will always offer an unconditional welcome.

"Come and join us each week for 15 minutes of quiet, prayer, and reflection."

The services are scheduled to start at 4.45pm on Mondays, starting from 22nd April.

In an effort to be accommodating and flexible, the church also said that anyone or any group needing a different time slot are welcome to reach out.
