Former MP Nadine Dorries has told the Daily Mail she gave Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi a stern look, due to his behaviour in church.
Dorries claimed she had attended a church service with the royal couple, organised by “a mutual friend”.
“I found Beatrice and Eugenie and their husbands seated behind me,” she said.
She alleged that “Edo was laughing loudly,” accusing the princess’s husband of behaving “like a disrespectful teenager”.
“At one point, I turned around and gave him the evil eye that only a woman my age – and a mother – can bestow.”
“To his credit, he got the message, pronto,” Dorries added.
Her account comes amid rumours of a rift between the couple, over Beatrice’s father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s links to Jeffrey Epstein.
Sources close to the couple insist “things are great between them,” and that any solo appearances at public events are due to the pair’s differing work schedules.
Representatives for Princess Beatrice have been contacted for comment.
