Mother crashes car into a pole to prove to her children that God is real

by Tola Mbakwe

Investigators in Gwinnnet County, Georgia said 25-year-old Bahari Shaquille Warren has been charged with two counts of cruelty to children.

Police said Warren told her five-year-old and seven-year-old children to buckle up and then she accelerated blindly into a concrete pole.

Patrol car footage after the crash showed one of the children explaining to the police her mother's intentions.

She said: "She [Warren] was telling us to believe in God so nothing would happen to us.

"Her eyes [were] closed and she was saying, 'blah, blah, blah, I love God'.

"She didn't want us to just have a car accident. She wanted us to know that God is real."

Police said that no one was hurt in the crash. The children are in the custody of their grandparents.
