Non-profit Christian publisher David C Cook has confirmed to Premier that it has ended its contracts with Andy Croft and Mike Pilavachi.
Croft and Pilavachi co-wrote several books, published by David C Cook, including Lifelines and Storylines, and Everyday Supernatural: Living A Spirit-Led Life Without Being Weird.
A statement by Guardian communications agency, on behalf of David C Cook, said:
“David C Cook have formally ended their professional relationship with Mike Pilavachi and Andy Croft, and their books and resources are no longer available through David C Cook.”
Andy Croft declined to comment on his publishing contracts.
Pilavachi stepped down as associate pastor at Soul Survivor Watford in April 2023, over allegations of historical spiritual abuse.
In June 2023, it was announced that Croft would also step down from his role as senior pastor whilst the safeguarding investigation was ongoing. He was cleared to return to ministry in November of the same year but did not return to his role as Soul Survivor Watford.
In April 2024, St Paul's and St George's church in Edinburgh told Premier that Andy had been appointed to their team, highlighting “a full and rigorous process” had taken place, involving “many people praying and discerning who God was calling as our Associate Rector”.
They said: “We are confident that we have found the right person and are excited at what Andy Croft will bring to us - as a church and as a staff team."
