Reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian has praised God after her unborn baby successfully underwent foetal surgery, a procedure in which surgeons operate on babies while they are still in the womb.
In an Instagram post, the 44-year-old shared her gratitude to the doctors for “saving our baby’s life”.
She wrote: “As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear. I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant.
“Praise be to God. Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing.”
The Kardashian, who made headlines in 2022 for her extravagant wedding with Blink-182 drummer Travis Baker, has previously attended Hillsong church in LA and quoted Bible passages on her social media platforms.
Although the wedding was originally planned in a Catholic church, the denomination blocked the ceremony. It was finally conducted in a remote location in Italy and led by evangelical pastor Chad Veach, who leads Zoe Church in Los Angeles.
Other members of the Kardashian family are also said to adhere to the Christian faith. Kim Kardashian-West, for example, was baptised by the Orthodox Church in Armenia in 2020, along with several of her children.
Commenting on Kourtney‘s recent post, her husband Travis said: “God is great”.
