The Archbishop of Canterbury has told Northern Ireland's political leaders they must show perseverance to find a lasting solution to the country's problems.
The Most Rev Justin Welby prayed at a West Belfast peace wall yesterday on a visit to the area.
He told politicians they will need to display courage in a bid to overcome division.
According to The News Letter newspaper, the archbishop said: "One of the key things in any process of reconciliation is persistence and perseverance. It is always an incredibly long-term process.
"It remains constantly in our prayers, prayers for courage and perseverance, for the leaders, courage to do what they know is right and perseverance to keep on doing it year after year despite the obstacles."
Justin Welby met with the Archbishop of Armagh, Richard Clarke, Archbishop of Dublin, Michael Jackson, and Bishop Alan Abernethy, the Bishop of Connor.
