The musician Jools Holland has recorded a version of the Christian hymn Abide With Me to raise awareness of the need to support the historic Rochester Cathedral.
Holland - who was in the band Squeeze, then a solo artist and famous New Year's Eve TV presenter - is also vice patron at the Rochester Cathedral Trust and patron for music there.
In his rendition, he brings his charcteristic jazzy piano style to the composition of William Henry Monk, the organist who wrote the tune 'Eventide' to which the lyrics of Abide With Me are set.
Rochester Cathedral write under the video: "Rochester Cathedral is a sanctuary we can ill afford to lose. A place of prayer, worship, love and hope for over 1,400 years, it is totally reliant on raising its own income.
"With your support now, people will be able to gather here for many more years to come. Please donate to help us keep it open. Thank you."
Holland also played a charity concert at the Cathedral in 2007 to raise funds to preserve Cathedral music and upkeep similar buildings.
He said at the time: "The plight of these stunning buildings is something that is close to my heart, and to me. Cathedrals are the greatest buildings in Christendom."
