57 commit to Jesus at anti-knife crime gig

by Heather Preston

A night of faith and transformation saw 57 young people commit their lives to Jesus at a No More Knives gig in Preston, aimed at steering young people away from knife crime.

Organised by The Message Trust, No More Knives tours have been running for four years, reaching over 150,000 young people in schools across the UK. On its latest tour, mission bands OTC and NXT CHAPTR delivered sessions to more than 2,600 students, encouraging them to reject knife crime and make positive life choices.

After one session, a young person named Ollie reached out to a band member to share his struggles in pursuing his Christian faith. Inspired by the bands' bold witness in his school, he attended the end-of-week concert, where he heard the gospel afresh and recommitted his life to Jesus. According to The Message Trust, a further 56 others attending the gig also responded to the gospel.
