Christian and country singer Dolly Parton said she believes God is using the coronavirus "to hold us up to the light" and that the crisis will "make us better people".
Taking to social media platform Instagram, Dolly encouraged her 3.1 million followers to "keep the faith and "not get too scared."
"I think God is in this, I really do. I think he's trying to hold us up to the light so that we can see ourselves and see each other through the eyes of love. And I hope we learn that lesson," she said.
The singer added: "I think that when this passes, we're gonna all be better people.
"I know that I have a positive attitude about it, as negative as it seems to be right now.
"So just keep the faith, don't be too scared, it's gonna be alright, God loves us."
During her time in quarantine, Dolly also plans to "comfort and reassure children" by reading them bedtime stories.
She's partnered with Imagination Library for the video series, "Goodnight With Dolly.'

For a monthly gift of $11 or more we’d also be able to send you a free copy of the brand new Premier Bible, a wonderful Anglicised version of the NLT packed with exclusive bonus content, reading plan and resources to help you get the most out of scripture.
