A glass panel has been stolen from one of the oldest churches in Cornwall.
Police are appealing for information about the theft at the church of St Winwaloe in Gunwalloe near Helston. It's believed to have occurred between September 20 and November 6, 2025.
In a Facebook post, Falmouth and Helston Police said it was "disappointing that someone has targeted a place that serves our community by stealing a glass panel from the church door."
The church, which is mentioned in the Domesday Book, is situated at the foot of sand dunes, very close to the sea. It was originally known as the "Church of the Storms" and its detached bell tower is embedded in the side of the cliff.
The National Churches Trust says that nothing now remains of the original 5th century church, with the building now mainly dating back to the 15th century.
An early cross which once guided pilgrims across the stream stands in its churchyard.
Officers are asking members of the public who may have any information regarding the theft of the glass panel to come forward via their website or 101 quoting 50250286622.
