Lifestyle magazine Tatler has suggested getting drunk is more socially acceptable than talking to friends about God.
In it's 'what it's ok to do in public' article in the latest edition it says those who liven up a party by getting "rip-roaringly" drunk are "heartwarming" while passionately kissing in public and crying at weddings also pass the test.
Discussing faith with friends, however, was labelled a taboo.
"It's fine to do the Alpha course - just don't bore others about it, even if you think they need saving," the article suggests. "God should only be discussed in private."
The latest edition of Tatler is out now.
