Sean Feucht sued by donor who claims $250,000 gift was used for personal property

by Mitti Hicks

A donor to worship leader Sean Feucht is suing the musician for a $250,000 donation that he claimed Feucht used to buy personal property.

In the lawsuit filed on 6th March in federal court, Power Plus Owner Steve Bray is asking for "restitution and disgorgement of all of the funds fraudulently obtained", according to The Roys Report. Bray is also asking for punitive damages and "any further relief" the court finds "just and proper".

According to Bray, he believed the donation would pay for at least 10 stops on Feucht's 2023 Let Us Go Worship - Kingdom to the Capitol Tour. Each event costs an average of about $22,000, as detailed in the lawsuit. Bray now believes that Feucht pocketed the money for personal use.

"Mr. Feucht knowingly misrepresented the intended use of funds," the lawsuit claims. "At no time while making the solicitation did Mr. Feucht ever suggest or indicate that any solicited funds would be utilised for his personal benefit."

Bray's attorneys said they have access to financial records and witnesses who said his donations were diverted to Feucht's personal accounts and that some or all of the money was used to buy real estate.

Feucht, a former worship leader at Bethel Church, rose to prominence during the COVID-19 pandemic for hosting in-person worship events in violation of social distancing rules. He has founded several ministry organisations, including Burn 24/7, Light a Candle, and Sean Feucht Ministries Inc, as Premier Christian News previously reported.

This is not the first time he has been accused of financial mishandling. In 2025, nine people who worked for Feucht signed a public statement accusing him of "longstanding misconduct", including embezzlement, wire fraud, and failure to report income to the IRS.

"Over many years, we have personally witnessed Sean choose to engage in repeated and unrepentant behavior that includes manipulation, exaggeration, control, lying, gaslighting, and spiritual and emotional abuse," they wrote.
