Hundreds of school children who survived the Connecticut gun massacre have finally returned to class at a new, heavily-guarded building.
Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown has been closed since the December the 14th when 26 people, mainly children were killed in a shooting spree.
The new school, in a neighbouring town has been decorated with welcoming signs and balloons and police have been out in force to reassure worried parents.
