Mark Pugh, lead Pastor of the church, said: "We're really excited about this further development of our online church and for many it is providing a helpful window into Christianity as they watch what is taking place in our packed out vibrant Sunday services.

"Some watch anonymously while others engage with our online pastors and ask questions about what they see."

The River Church says the number of people already accessing it's sermons and discussion groups via the internet has grown "considerably" since a live web streaming service was launched two-years-ago.

It's new studio will host their Church Online Pastors, a team who talk and welcome online viewers via an interactive chatroom on the River Church website.

One of the online lifegroup leaders Jason Ham said: "We have such amazing discussions and meaningful relationships in the lifegroups.

"For many who are housebound, the life groups are a valuable opportunity for interaction throughout the week, who otherwise might be lonely."
