Vice President Kamala Harris appeared to tell Christian protesters they were at the "wrong rally" while campaigning in Wisconsin.

A large group of self-proclaimed pro-lifers were captured yelling out "Jesus is Lord" and "Jesus is King".

In another clip, Harris was heard saying: “Oh you guys are at the wrong rally. I think you meant to go to the smaller one down the street." 

This was in response to heckling that occurred as Harris criticised Trump for selecting conservative Supreme Court justices "with the intention that they would undo Roe v Wade".

Roe v Wade was a landmark 1973 Supreme Court ruling that ensured access to abortion was protected under the US Constitution. The Supreme Court overruled the decision in 2022. 

It's unclear who exactly Harris was addressing with her comments, with some outlets reporting that a group was shouting “lies”, and others suggesting that she was responding to the religious remarks. 

Despite this, social media has blown up since the incident, with one user writing: "Kamala Harris disparaged our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ" and another saying "She doesn't respect Christians".

The controversy comes just one week after she snubbed the Al Smith Dinner, which angered many Christian and Catholic communities.

Two of the protesters at the rally were reportedly Christian students at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

In an interview with Fox News, the pair insisted they were “there for the right reasons", with one claiming that Harris sarcastically waved to him and gave him “an evil smirk” as he held up a cross around his neck and pointed to her.
