In central Nigeria, Fulani herdsmen attacked several villages, leaving a trail of violence.
On Sunday 1st December, the herders killed two Christians and wounded one other, according to The Christian Post.
They also kidnapped a pastor during these raids.
In Gwanje village, located in Nasarawa state, Barnabas Para was shot and killed while sitting outside his house.
Moses Bello, a neighbor, described hearing gunshots and rushing to the scene to find Barnabas dead.
Another resident, Okigwe Gajere, was captured by the attackers but managed to escape later.
In the nearby village of Ntsakpe, another Christian, Mr. Sule, was killed, and Mr. Zamani was injured and hospitalised.
These attacks took place between 8 and 9 p.m., according to Nathaniel Maaji Lauji, a local government spokesperson.
In Goho village, armed herdsmen also attacked and killed a security aide while kidnapping Joseph Haruna Kigbu and his wife. The police officer guarding them was also killed in the incident.
The violence wasn't limited to Sunday. On 28th November, herdsmen attacked the Christian village of Ningo, kidnapping Pastor Charles Joshua and three other Christians.
Nigeria remains one of the most dangerous places for Christians, with over 4,100 deaths linked to their faith between October 2022 and September 2023.
The country also has the highest number of Christian kidnappings in the world.
