The food bank's comments follow a new report which reveals that a quarter of people in Wales are in poverty.
Although overall poverty in Wales has gone down, specific groups - such as pensioners, parents and single parents - have not seen the improvement, according to a Joseph Rowntree report.
Tony Graham, Director of The Trussell Trust food bank group in Wales told Premier what Christians can do to help: "People that have a little bit more learning or a little bit more understanding can actually get alongside and help people. It's one of the things we're called to do as Christians, isn't it?"
Graham explained how Christians with experience can be really useful: "One of the things we are really looking for at the moment are people that have specialist knowledge in some of this benefits advice - people who are able to volunteer and go to their local foodbank and say 'I can sit people and help them with their application'.
"We're called to get alongside and help those who are more vulnerable or in need and I would encourage people to contact their local foodbank and ask how they can help."
