Singer-songwriter and celebrity vocal coach Priscilla Jones said she loves gospel music and explained during News Hour some of the benefits of listening to the genre: "It sets you at the place where you need to be with the Lord.
"How you feel about the Lord and giving Him praise obviously - it just uplifts your spirit out of whatever situation that you're in. I believe that Christian music always does that."
The study of 2,005 UK adults, by Microsoft's search engine Bing, names London as the music capital of the UK, with residents there consuming 5,000 songs a year. Newcastle and Belfast follow in second and third place. Millennials are Britain's biggest consumers of music listening to over 6,000 tracks every year according to the research's results.
While some of Jones' best songs to listen to in the car or hoovering include great uplifting songs like 'I will survive'" by Gloria Gaynor and Chaka Khan's 'Ain't nobody', Abba's "Dancing Queen" has been named as the track most likely to get the most people on the dance floor.
The survey also revealed the song "Mr Blobby", made famous by the TV show "Noel's House Party", is the track which will get us sitting back down, along with the Birdie Song in second place.
