The London-based Hip-Hop star beat off competition from Leroy Johnson, Ni-cola, Olaedo Ibe and Chos3n to pick up the prize at the pre-awards show on Tuesday night.
The full awards show takes place in Leeds next week.
Speaking about the awards, he said: "I don't know if it's sunk in yet.
"I performed then twenty minutes later I received my award so a lot of things happened in the same moment of time. It was a fantastic moment."
His award comes just weeks after he was made a deacon in his church.
"October has been an amazing month for me. Ordained as a deacon, won this MOBO.
"In the past five weeks I've been up for five awards. There's so much happening. I just thank God for that."
Previous winners of the Best Gospel Act at the MOBOs include Guvna B, Victizzle and Rachel Kerr.
