Christian rap artist tops the Billboard charts

The artist, whose real name is Nathan Feuerstein has said in a previous interview that he does not consider himself to be a Christian rapper. In an interview with HipHopDX, he said "I don't know what a Christian rapper is.

"I'm just an artist who makes music for everybody."

His music has featured on various TV shows including Empire, Chicago PD and Love & Hip Hop.  He dedicated his song "How Could You Leave Us" to his mother after she overdosed on drugs.

This accolade adds to his recently awarded Dove Award for the Rap/Hip Hop Recorded Song of the Year for the song "Oh Lord". The award winning track featured lyrics such as:

"Don't ever tell me there's no God.

"And if there isn't then what are we here for?"

Similarly, American Christian hip hop artist Lecrae released Anomaly in 2014 which topped the Billboard charts in 2014 and went gold after selling the equivalent of half a million copies and earned him a Grammy nomination. He also preferred to describe himself as a rap artist who is a Christian rather than a Christian rap artist.

Perception is NF's 4th album and he is due in London in November for a sold out concert.
