John Mason who represents Glasgow Shettleston, will not attend any of Clyde FC's games for the rest of the season stating it is "far too soon" for David Goodwillie to be returning to football.
Earlier this year, Goodwillie was ordered to pay £100,000 in damages over an alleged rape in Armadale, West Lothian, in January 2011.
He's not been convicted in a criminal court.
Mr Mason, who's also a shareholder of the club, said: "I accept he has not been convicted in a criminal court, however, at the very least it seems to me far too soon for someone in this position to be returning to football.
"The Christian faith is also very important to me and I strongly believe in forgiveness for people who admit to doing wrong.
"But it is usually good to allow a bit of time for the dust to settle. January just seems too recent to say that these events are part of history.
Clyde are currently battling relegation from Scottish League 2.
With five games to go, they are in danger of dropping out of the entire Football League.
