The Magdalene Group works with street-based sex workers and also children who have been sexually exploited.
The Bishop of Norwich, Rt Revd Graham James, hosted the Magdalene Group in his private gardens last night, where hundreds of supporters had tea and took part in a fundraising auction.
Suzi Heybourne, the Chief Executive of the charity, told Premier: "We had a wonderful evening last night. We were hosted by the Bishop of Norwich, Bishop Graham, in a marquee in his beautiful grounds, and over 200 people attended from Norfolk with an invitation to see the Bishop's garden to start with, and then have a vintage tea party following that.
"We just had a lot of fun, and what we really recognised was that the numbers of people that turned up to support us, from business, from social, from all aspects, were there to support the Magdalene Group and that felt really, really good.
"We have absolute love for the women that use our service, and the comments that we get from the women is that we feel like family to them. And I think that's what we'd want to demonstrate: the love of Jesus in a very quiet way."
