Christian charity supports families coming together to watch TV

A shift in our TV habits shows living room telly is making a comeback.

A study has found 91% per cent of us watch TV in their main room at least once a week, just families in the 1950s. 

The research, by media regulator Ofcom, also reveals more people are living in homes with just one television.

It also shows we're multi-tasking while we're watching, thanks to gadgets such as tablets and smart phones.

Emily Petty is from Christian charity Mothers' Union.

She tells Premier's News Hour that time in front of the TV together can be good for families, as long as it's part of a range of activities:
