In a conversation at a garden party in Buckingham Palace recently, she told one of the guests that children spend too much time watching television or using smartphones.
Barbara Wilkins, who runs nursery schools, was reported as saying to Her Majesty: "I said they are all digital these days.
"Instead of sitting at the dining room table having conversations like I did with my children, they are sitting on the settee with their teas on their knees and watching televisions."
The Queen is said to have agreed and said that she doesn't like children to be on computers all the time when they could be developing social skills.
Vivienne Pattison, a Christian who's campaigned to make sure the media doesn't affect children in negative ways, told Premier's News Hour: "There's nothing wrong with technology, or televisions or smartphones per se.
"It's all to do with the amount of time you spend using them, to the degree that they are used, and whether other things are being blotted out.
"As human beings we learn through human interaction, and that can't be replaced in a virtual or digital world."
Her Majesty's also admitted she relies on her younger relatives and grandchildren to help her out with technology.
