During a speech in London on Monday, the Prime Minster was asked if Donald Trump was right to criticise Sadiq Khan.
She replied: "I think Sadiq Khan is doing a good job and it's wrong to say anything else - he's doing a good job."
Rt Rev Paul Bayes did not think her response was strong enough.

Khan assured the public in a statement that Londoners would see increased police presence over the next few days and should not be alarmed.
Trump response criticised Khan, suggesting there was reason to be alarmed.
