The bishops from the north of England descended on Liverpool over the last few days to help local churchgoers reach out into the community.
The Tell Serve Give events included comedy and jazz evenings as well as prison visits and beach clean ups.
Speaking about the success of the weekend, Dr John Sentamu said: "Every day I was going to six to seven events, one after another.
"It's been quite amazing the response has been amazing and actually the people of the whole of Merseyside who make up the Diocese of Liverpool have been so generous and so welcoming.
"It has been extraordinary and I think this diocese won't be the same because they've put in a lot of effort and a lot of energy to make Jesus known."
The northern bishops have made this kind of mission an regular event. They'll gather once more in the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham in September.
