Timothy Storey is on trial accused of two counts of rape and one of sexual of assault relating to his time at a London church, in 2009.
At Woolwich Crown Court Mr Storey, 35, said he accepted he had used his position to get close to girls and that his actions were "absolutely and wholly inappropriate".
He denied the allegations against him and claimed he sought help from his GP and psychiatrist after a complaint was made about his behaviour.
"I did some research into clinics and went to a Sex and Lovers addict anonymous" - which he described as "AA but for sex addicts".
Previously the trial was told how the pastor had allegedly forced a teenager to perform indecent acts in his flat.
Speaking through tears from behind a screen, the woman, now in her twenties, said: "It was like he had me in a spider's web. There was no direction where I could turn where I wasn't somehow being affected by him."
She told the jury the pastor had showered her with compliments and that he had become "more influential than God" to her.
